Machens Advantage Magazine Spring 2016 Issue Print Design, Video, Social Media, Marketing Quarterly Publication Our goal for this issue of the Joe Machens Dealerships’ Machens Advantage Magazine was to create new types of engaging content and to create a piece that would have more longevity since the magazine was converted to a quarterly piece (from monthly). You can view the publication in its entirety (and some archives) on Issuu here or below. Team Effort I worked with Jeff Ausmus, Marketing Manager, and Mark Loeber, Junior Designer, on the issue. I designed the cover, infographic and Rental ads for this issue, created a template for the Regular Joe ad and art directed all the other ads. I also had the pleasure of doing some food styling for the recipe photo taken by CBT photographer Keith Borgmeyer. I also shot and edited the Pros on the Go videos for Cumulus radio personalities Chris Kellogg, Damon Knight and Mo Louis.   Gallery Click on a preview below to view full image. CoMo Bug & Bus Bash

CoMo Bug & Bus Bash Special Event Branding & Identity Website An event specific website was created to provide additional information to Volkswagen enthusiasts throughout the year. Registration to show is free, though donations are accepted the day of the event to benefit The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri.   Collector’s Items Guests participating in the judged car show receive a gift bag that includes a pin and collector’s dash plaque (above) in addition to the most recent copy of Machens Advantage magazine. Commemorative T-Shirt Every year has a different tee shirt design for this annual show. The 2015 event featured a sapphire color with white ink. Social & Digital This event is advertised on the store’s website, social media platforms and on third-party websites with slides, boosted posts and display banners.   This project was completed during my time at Joe Machens Dealerships under direction from Mary Jo Henry. Little Black Dress

Little Black Dress Special Event Planning, Program, & Digital Advertising Little Black Dress is a ladies-only fundraising event benefiting True North of Columbia, the local emergency shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence. I’ve had the pleasure of serving the LBD event committee since 2014. The event has grown substantially and moved locations to accommodate increased attendance. Event Program (right) The raffle prizes, silent auction items and sponsors have grown so much and we wanted to recognize the businesses and individuals supporting the event and the cause. The event’s program also provided a method for sharing additional donation information with guests in the event they missed an announcement by the emcees. Social Media Digital (below) Posting updates and ticket information about this annual event means sharing an image to go along with the message to make the most impact on any of our follower’s newsfeed.
